LBK Butterfly Garden
The Butterfly Garden in Bicentennial Park, located at 2730 Gulf of Mexico Drive and adjacent to Town Hall, was established by the Garden Club in the 1990's.
It has been designed to be a tranquil spot, ideal for a quiet repose or meditation, with flora which are known to attract butterflies. It is also the site
of the Club's Annual Butterfly Release which is enjoyed by kids and adults alike at the island's July 4 Freedom Fest.
The garden is framed by a brick semi-circle on each side of a shell path with space for 116 bricks. Most of the bricks are
engraved with the names of local loved ones.
If you’ve never visited this special garden, please stop by and enjoy the beauty of it. Because of the butterflies, it's also an ideal spot for a quick visit
with little ones.
