Residents and visitors will also have the opportunity to connect with:

Sarasota's 10th Annual Giving Challenge



From noon April 15th until noon April 16th, the Longboat Key Garden Club will participate in the 2026 online Giving Challenge presented by the Community Foundations of Sarasota County.

The money raised will be for grants to select area Sarasota elementary schools to grow vegetable gardens. A small amount can go a long way because the Patterson Foundation will strengthen the giving with 100% match of all donations between $25-$100!

Some examples of what your donation can do:

- $25 will provide six 4-packs of starter super sweet tomatoes
- $50 a bag of potting soil and four 4-pack start vegetable plants
- $75 an Earthbox and staking system
- $100 2 bags of potting soil and eight 4-pack starter vegetables

The Garden Club would love to be a charity of your choice on this special day of giving!

Annual Meeting

Don’t miss this terrific event!

The Arbor Day annual meeting and luncheon will be held April 17. Grant and Scholarship recipients receive their awards and will discuss what our awards mean to them! It makes all our fund-raising efforts all the more meaningful.

If you'd like to come, please reserve your space below by April 10th. While there is no charge to members, the club does incur expenses for this event so we'd like to get a good headcount. We ask that you please honor your RSVP.

Dinner and a Movie 2026

Bayfront Park overlooking Sarasota Bay is a gorgeous place for this very popular event.

The circumstances surrounding the death of crime novelist Harlan Thrombey are mysterious, but there's one thing that renowned Detective Benoit Blanc knows for sure -- everyone in the wildly dysfunctional Thrombey family is a suspect. Now, Blanc must sift through a web of lies and red herrings to uncover the truth. Starring Daniel Craig as the debonair detective.
