LBK Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden in Bicentennial Park, located at 2730 Gulf of Mexico Drive and adjacent to Town Hall, was established by the Garden Club in the 1990's. It has been designed to be a tranquil spot, ideal for a quiet repose or meditation, with flora which are known to attract butterflies. It is also the site of the Club's Annual Butterfly Release which is enjoyed by kids and adults alike at the island's July 4 Freedom Fest.

The garden is framed by a brick semi-circle on each side of a shell path with space for 116 bricks. Each brick can be purchased for $75 and engraved. We have bricks for pets, people you love, your family, etc. (mine was acknowledging my 2012 wedding!).

Proceeds raised through this program fund the annual costs of maintaining the garden with new plantings, fertilizer, etc. Please buy a brick to support the Garden Club & Butterfly Garden.

Remember to include the lettering you wish to have engraved. You may include up to 3 lines with a maximum of thirteen characters per line (spaces count). Small heart design is an additional $20 each and may take up more than one character of space.

We will advise you when the brick is ready so that you can either place the brick yourself or let us know if you wish to be present when it is installed.

If you’ve never visited this special garden, please stop by and enjoy the beauty of it. Because of the butterflies, it's also an ideal spot for a quick visit with little ones.
